CAPF Exam Pattern
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) issued the Official Notification for CAPF Assistant Commandant Post on April 24, 2024. The CAPF Written Examination is scheduled for August 4, 2024. With the assistance of Defence Wallah, aspiring candidates can find the process of becoming an Assistant Commandant much more manageable. UPSC CAPF Syllabus for Paper-1
Applicants must demonstrate accuracy and proficiency to crack the UPSC CAPF Exam 2024. Candidates must avoid giving incorrect answers as it will lead to negative markings. Candidates are advised to complete the UPSC CAPF AC Syllabus on time to practice the previous year’s papers and mock tests.
This will help the candidates understand the nature of the exam, work on weaknesses, and improve as they take the CAPF Exam. Candidates who score above the required cutoff in Paper 1 will progress to the next stage of the CAPF Selection process. The UPSC CAPF AC Syllabus for Paper 1 is divided into six subjects.

UPSC CAPF Syllabus for Paper-2
The CAPF AC Syllabus for Paper 2 has descriptive-type questions that must be answered according to the Commission’s guidelines. This section carries a weightage of 200 marks and assesses a candidate’s language proficiency, comprehension, and essay-writing skills. It is important to note that only candidates who meet the CAPF Cut Off in Paper 1 will be evaluated for Paper 2.
To perform well in this section and manage time effectively, students should revise their English grammar and regularly practice writing essays on relevant topics.

UPSC CAPF PET Assistant Commandant
Candidates can take the CAPF Assistant Commandant Physical Efficiency Test if they meet the UPSC CAPF Paper and Paper 2. (PET) cutoff marks. The following will be included in the PET for CAPF:

All of the tests offered for CAPF PET are required and have a qualifying nature. The chosen individuals are shortlisted for a medical review after passing the physical tests.
UPSC CAPF: Interview/Personality Test
Candidates who pass the CAPF AC written exam and PET can take the interview and personality test. The CAPF interview carries 150 points.
The Union Public Service Commission will contact candidates who have passed the Medical Standard Tests to schedule an interview and personality test. Interviews and personality tests will be required of candidates deemed medically unfit but still allowed to appear before a “Review Medical Board.”
